New Robots Arrived: Unitree Stellar Explorer A2 & R1 Coming Soon
We're thrilled to share some exciting updates from Kindly Robotics! Our mission to use robotics for good continues to grow, and we have some major announcements to share.
🤖 New Robots Arrived: Unitree Stellar Explorer A2
We're excited to announce that we've received our Unitree Stellar Explorer A2 robot! This advanced quadruped robot represents a significant step forward in our capabilities for cleanup operations and community service. The A2 is an industrial-grade robot designed for demanding applications, weighing approximately 37 kg and capable of carrying payloads up to 25 kg.

The Stellar Explorer A2 features advanced mobility with dual LiDAR sensors and an HD camera for zero blind spots, making it perfect for our cleanup missions. With its ability to navigate challenging terrain, climb slopes up to 45 degrees, and operate in temperatures ranging from -20°C to 55°C, we're looking forward to deploying it in our upcoming cleanup operations across diverse environments.
🚀 R1 Fleet Coming Early 2025
But that's not all! We've also placed an order for a set of Unitree R1 humanoid robots, scheduled to arrive early next year. The R1 represents the next generation of humanoid robotics, with 26 degrees of freedom and enhanced capabilities for both indoor and outdoor operations. These ultra-lightweight, fully customizable robots feature multimodal interaction capabilities that will significantly expand our operational capacity.

These robots will significantly expand our operational capacity, allowing us to tackle larger cleanup projects and serve more communities across the region. The R1's acrobatic capabilities and advanced AI integration make it ideal for complex environmental cleanup tasks.
🗺️ Upcoming Cleanup Schedule
With our new robots and growing fleet, we're excited to announce our cleanup schedule for the coming months. We'll be deploying our robots in three key regions:
Southern Nevada
We'll be focusing on cleanup operations in the Las Vegas area and surrounding Southern Nevada communities, targeting areas with high litter accumulation in parks, trails, and public spaces.
Lake Tahoe
Protecting the pristine beauty of Lake Tahoe is a priority. Our robots will help maintain the natural environment around the lake, including beaches, trails, and surrounding areas on both the California and Nevada sides.
Southern California
From Los Angeles to San Diego, we'll be conducting cleanup operations along beaches, parks, and urban areas throughout Southern California, helping preserve the region's natural beauty.
